Synopsis

On October 5, 2011, two Chinese merchant ships come under attack while sailing in the Golden Triangle region of the Mekong River. All 13 Chinese sailors are murdered and Thai police recover 900,000 capsules of crystal meth from the ship. The Chinese nation is in shock when the news makes it back to the mainland. To find out what really happened that day, drug enforcement captain Gao Gang (played by Zhang Hanyu) accepts a special mission and leads a task force of brave and fierce soldiers onto Thai soil. He meets with the undercover intelligence agent Fang Xinwu (played by Eddie Peng) and the two of them team up as they delve into the Golden Triangle region investigating the case. After investigating, they discover that there is layer upon layer of suspicion piling up behind the case. After framing and murdering the Chinese sailors, the real assassin is still at large and plans to use the drugs to pull off an even greater conspiracy. The two of them decide that the killer behind all this must be taken down at any cost and go up against the drug smugglers to win justice for their innocent compatriots.
